truebluemeandyou: Skully Tee. For those of you who need a last minute costume!

DIY Cut Out Skully Tee (or Halloween Costume that could go horribly wrong). Tutorial from  Cut Out and Keep here. The picture above is a version of this project. The original is a skull cut out on the back of the Tee. MardyBum’s Tee (pictured above) is posted here - and understandably has generated lots of comments about it being a “different type of shirt” if it had been cut higher. So I guess it depends what kind of costume or skull shirt you want it to be!

My next diy attempt.

DIY Night Bike. From Instructables here. The trick is the type of paint chosen to paint the bike:

“The typical craft store glow paint is zinc-sulfide based in an acrylic medium, if it is colored pigments are used.  The problem with using pigments is that these colors absorb most of the light, and thus the glow isn’t as bright. Instead, phosphorescent paint (used for this bike) is strontium based and glows 10 times longer and brighter. Impressive!”

I am TOTALLY doing this when fix up my new bike!

DIY Newspaper Nails. Tutorial in French at La Passion du Nail Art here. But basically you’ll need scissors, a pale nail polish color with a base coat, a newspaper, alcohol (such as vodka) and a top coat.
Apply base coat and 2 coats of varnish and dry.
Cut small pieces of newspaper big enough to cover your nails.
Soak your nails in alcohol.
Cover your nails with small pieces of newspaper, then remove the newsprint slowly.
Let dry and apply top coat.

This is Flathead Lake in northwestern Montana, USA. The water is so transparent that it seems that this is a quite shallow lake. In fact, it is 370.7 feet deep.
